Colby, I feel your pain. Being fairly new on Medium (I’ve started my account in September) I have been mainly speaking to a void. Yet, writing is what I like to do, and an ability to practice it here with at least a small audience of people who are interested in the same ideas as I am keeps me going.

It’s hard to imagine that Medium could bring a stable salary, but the layout, the community vibe, and the sense of support keeps me going here.

I am not planning to leave the platform any time soon, yet I hope some new adjustments will be made to support the writers and bring more joy into their time and effort put here.
